The NBC TV show "Friends" aired from September 22, 1994 to the series finale, which aired on May 6, 2004. The popular sitcom was created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, based upon a time in most people's lives when your friends are the most important people in your life. The show revolved around six friends living in New York City, which included siblings Monica and Ross Geller, Chandler Bing, Phoebe Buffay, Rachel Green and Joey Tribbiani. Each character was distinctive and viewers were sure to relate to at least one of them. Each episode follows one or more of the characters, usually dealing with personal problems involving relationships, work and other day-to-day issues that most people in their twenties face. Although the show often touches on deep issues, it does so with such elegance and often with the right amount of comedy to keep things light enough to enjoy.
