Falling Skies is a sci-fi television series that premiered on June 19, 2011. Falling Skies begins six months after an alien invasion. When the aliens, known as "Skitters", arrived, people where hopeful for a peaceful future, but what they got was all out war. The Skitters attacked in force, disabling electronics and destroying military forces and governments. The Aliens killed many people and abducted and enslaved children; fitting them with a harness device that is in planted in their spinal column, enabling the Aliens to control them. The show continues in the aftermath of the invasion. Tom, a former college professor, played by Noah Wyle, joins a group of survivors and sets off in search for his missing son, who has been abducted by the aliens and is under their control. Unfortunately Tom's task of finding his son doesn't come easy and we join him as he struggles to balance finding his missing son with keeping his other two sons alive.
